ITS EXAM TIME

                                                             Madi Nkosi

This week I met under 16 soccer captain Monde Ndelu and Siphesihle "Madi" Nkosi, the                                                              assisstant coach.

                                                          Monde Ndelu

They don't wish for the  year to end as they enjoy playing for the school, They told me that in 2013 they had good and bad times but nothing can kill the love of soccer in their hearts. " We are lucky as we are still doing grade 10, that means two more years of soccer at school".

Our dream is to Win the Motsepe Cup in 2014 and to play more cup games so that the soccer scouts can spot us. We would like to play for popular soccer teams in South Africa.

"We might even play in Europe one day, who knows? WATCH THIS SPACE !!!"

War against crime

This week I met Zolile Mkhwanazi a  grade 12 learner and a peer leader at Hunt Road Secondary. He is one of the learners who works closely with the police at Umbilo police station under the supervision of Sergeant Manqele. Umbilo Police Station has introduced a youth desk where learners from local schools can share some ideas on how to prevent and fight drug abuse and crime in schools.
Learners have realized that cops are not enemies but they want to protect children and the community and they can't do that without the support of the South African citizens.

You're doing a great job Zolile and you're already looking like a cop. Keep up the good work !!!
